This time, she’s taking on a classic comfort food with a twist—grilling frozen pizza!

Kaitlyn knows her way around the Egg, and in true Kickin’ Kates fashion, she decided to elevate a frozen pizza using the raised grate direct grilling method. With the Big Green Egg preheated to a crisp 400°F, she showed us how easy and delicious it can be to transform a simple frozen pizza into a smoky, crispy masterpiece.

Why the Raised Grate Method?

You might wonder, why the raised grate? This method gives the pizza just the right balance of direct heat and air circulation. By elevating the pizza slightly above the flame, Kaitlyn avoided burning the bottom while ensuring that the crust came out perfectly golden and the cheese was melted to bubbly perfection.
